Use dmy dates
This template indicates that an article uses the day–month–year (DMY) date format.
Usage
Place this near the top of an article:
{{Use dmy dates}}
Dates in the article should then normally be written as:
5 September 2026 14 March 1985 21 December 1940
rather than:
September 5, 2026 March 14, 1985 December 21, 1940
Date parameter
You may optionally record when the template was added or checked:
{{Use dmy dates|date=September 2026}}
The template itself does not automatically convert dates. It indicates which date style editors should use consistently.
