Albert Reich

Overview

Albert Reich was born on January 14, 1881, in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, Germany. He studied at the art academies in Nuremberg and Munich. During World War I, he served as a war artist with the German army. After the war, he created illustrations and designed war memorials. A supporter of the NS Party, Reich designed the cover for the first edition of Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf.

Reich passed away on April 12, 1942, in Munich due to a sudden illness. He was posthumously awarded the title of professor and was buried at the Munich Waldfriedhof.
